Frequently Asked Questions
What is an endowment fund and how does it work?
An endowment fund is a capital fund created through donations and used to support a foundation’s mission over the long term. Our foundation chose this model because we believe it’s the key to sustainable, systematic philanthropy.
What do we do?
We support doctors in three key areas: science, education, and public awareness.
In science, we fund and organize scientific conferences, sponsor doctor participation in international events, and develop Kazakhstan’s own ALEM device (Astana Life Ex-situ Machine) for long-term organ preservation and transportation.
In education, we fund scholarships and travel grants for residents in cardiac fields, organize workshops for regional doctors, teach CPR in high schools, and sponsor advanced training for physicians.
In outreach, we created the annual race-festival Jüregımnıñ Jeñımpazy, which brings people together to support organ donation and those on transplant waiting lists.
